The Sound of Silence – “A Poem on the Quiet Moments of Life”

Sometimes the loudest emotions live in silence.

The classroom was full and all ears.
The kids broke free as the break bell rang.
The bell rang again, in came the strict math teacher.
Air lost the weight of their sound;
The loss of weight turned the room into silence.

The families joined over the function.
The parents were strict, so were the siblings.
The boy and girl with love in their hearts sat across.
They spoke with their eyes, without a sound.
The silence was their strength of love.

No one likes to be in a hospital for anything,
Except for those waiting outside the labor room.
Their tense faces strained with impatience.
The door swung open, bringing the good news.
The baby cried, the sound removing the pain of silence.

Life bloomed for him, as she spread colors through it.
A happiness-inducing presence, as pure as she is.
A momentary loss of mind turned her to silence.
Her silence stole the fragrance of my life
